from Limbaugh Letter,
4/1/16:

I think human being can create a Utopia.” -Kanye West, on Twitter, 3/13/16

Venezuela is shutting down for a week as the government struggles with a deepening electricity crisis … The government has rationed electricity and water supplies across the country from months … The ruling socialist have blamed the shortage on … weather phenomena and “sabotage” by their political foes …” -Bloomberg, 3/16/16

Cause, meet effect. Utopia-yearning liberals, meet scarcity and rationing and catastrophe.

As a great economist Milton Friedman once said, “If you put the government in charge of the Shara Dessert, in five years there’d be a shortage of sand.

Centralized government control, which is what socialism is, inevitably, ultimately, stamps out individual creativity and talent and industriousness. Collectivism is soul-killing.

Yet millions of ill-educated Americans especially young people, are newly “feeling the Bern” of anti-capitalism.

The truth is, the only people who are attracted to socialism are those who’ve never experienced it.

Garry Kasporov, former World Chess Champion, put it this way on Super Tuesday, 3/1/16: ” I’m enjoying the irony of American (Bernie) Sanders supporters lecturing me, a former Soviet citizen, on the glories of socialism. Socialism sounds great in speech soundbites and on Facebook, but please keep it there. in practice it corrodes not only the economy but the human spirit itself.”
