What we want is “LIFE for America”

As reported by MRC TV, and others, on Wednesday, President Obama again refused to use the words “radical Islamists,” instead blaming the “Death to America” chants on a few Iranian “hardliners”:

“I realize that resorting to force may be tempting in the face of the rhetoric and behavior that emanates from parts of Iran. It is offensive. It is incendiary. We do take it seriously. But superpowers should not act impulsively in response to talks… Just because Iranian hardliners chant ‘Death to America” does not mean that that’s what all Iranians believe.”

Unfortunately, some of those “hardliners” calling for “Death to America!” include Iran’s supreme leader and the Iranian Parliament.

Obama then accused Republicans of being in league with the Iranian hardliners:

“In fact, it’s those hardliners that are more satisfied with the status quo. It’s those hardliners chanting “death to America” who’ve been most opposed to the deal. They’re making common cause with the Republican Caucus.”

Demonization, personal destruction and ‘hate speech’ are consistent tools of President Obama, so no one is surprised by his comparison of “death to America” chants in Iran and to his opponents of the deal in the Republican Congress.

Yet, on Thursday, two of his own, Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., said they would not vote for this deal. I guess he means them, they want “Death to America’, too?

As good as this display of common sense by two staunch Democrats is, there, unfortunately, will not be enough votes in the Senate and the House to override a Presidential veto. This historically bad deal will most likely go through until the 2016 election of, hopefully, a President who wants “LIFE for America’ is elected.
