Black Church Fires Hate Crimes? – No, Irresponsible Media Template in Action

You have surely heard the reporting the past few days about the rash of black church burnings in the south. MSNBC, NBC, CNN, USAToday, The Huffington Post, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and more, have prominently displayed the storyline. The reports indicate these burnings have occurred since the Charleston church shooting and wonder if “hate crimes are to blame”.

The truth is a little different. Two are being investigated for arson and none are currently being investigated for hate crimes. All represent the irresponsible journalism we have become used to today.
