Wait Till You See How Many Times Hillary Clinton Supported an Agreement She’s Now Trying to Dodge

Despite it being a major political fight between President Obama and congressional Democrats, Hillary Clinton raised eyebrows by being noticeably quiet on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) along the presidential campaign trail in recent months.

But Clinton took a more skeptical line this past Sunday in Iowa, when she said Democrats should kill the proposed deal if it wasn’t up to their standards:

No president would be a tougher negotiator on behalf of American workers, either with our trade partners or Republicans on Capitol Hill, than I would be.

On Monday, CNN responded by publishing an article on Clinton’s past statements on the trade agreement. CNN noted not one, or two, but 45 instances where Clinton supported the TPP full-heartedly, mostly during her tenure as Secretary of State in the Obama administration.
