Media Responds Differently to Acosta and Attkisson

For months, the American public has watched as CNN’s Jim Acosta has brought incivility to a new level in the White House press briefing room. We have witnessed Acosta’s rudeness, narcissism, and outrageously unprofessional behavior.

We have seen the White House staff show remarkable restraint for behavior that would never be accepted in any professional environment.

When finally — after a shocking and ridiculous display by Acosta last week that involved him tussling with a female White House intern over a microphone following his belligerence to the President — the White House revoked Acosta’s White House press credentials, we all hoped that the embarrassing episode was behind us and that some decorum would be restored to the White House press corps.

Except CNN didn’t let that happen. CNN has filed a lawsuit against the White House for revoking Acosta’ press credentials. The lawsuit lists President Trump and multiple aides (including the Secret Service agent who confiscated Acosta’s press pass) as defendants. This lawsuit shows that in addition to displaying a consistent left-wing bias in their reporting, CNN is also promoting a culture of incivility and disrespect for the presidency. They are condoning Jim Acosta’s toxic and hostile actions rather than promoting basic journalistic standards.

CNN [should] stop the rudeness and inappropriate behavior in the People’s House and start hiring journalists who behave with dignity and treat everyone — even those with whom they disagree — with respect.

Unsurprisingly, the liberal media — which typically rally around fellow journalists when they are attacked — have failed to step up and support Sharyl Attkisson, a respected and award-winning journalist, in her legitimate fight for press freedom. Not a single journalism group or civil liberties organization has supported Attkisson’s legal battle.

The government went after … Attkisson for covering Obama mega-scandal Fast and Furious. Now she is fighting back. This is an outrage and makes one thing very clear: the liberal media don’t care about free and accurate reporting. They only care about pushing their toxic agenda and protecting their leftist allies.
