Just another partisan mob!

Jim Acosta displayed, even for him, a rude and out of control tactic today at the President’s post election news conference.

If anyone thinks this is responsible journalism, I have a couple of questions for you. When did these two reporters ask Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Barack Obama or any Democrat candidate about the despicable and untruthful campaign ads they ran about Republicans and President Trump? When did they ask their own networks to stop TV reporters and commentators from calling the President racist, Hitler, Stalin and other despicable, untruthful terms? How come it is only wrong if Republicans do it? There is an old adage that is true in today’s politics, ‘they can dish it out, but they can’t take it’!

The First Amendment says that “no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press …” There is nothing in the First Amendment that gives the media a right to be rude, disrespectful or above reproach. The free speech opinions the press hold sacrosanct also applies to the people they are interviewing. Reporters have no special right to be rude. Reporters have no special right to take over a floor when others are trying to ask questions. Reporters have no more right than any other person to be disrespectful to a President, FOR NO REASON, other than they don’t like him. If they do, just like anyone else, their opinion is subject to another’s right of free expression of his opinion. And if that person is in control of a room, to eliminate those who are disturbing the peace. Which is what Acosta was doing and of the opinion that he could do it with impunity. No. And they criticize the President for incivility!

A responsible media company should publicly reprimand a reporter who acts like this. And not only that, in the era of hypersensitive attention to women’s rights, how does Acosta get off disrespecting the Presidential Press Secretary? How does he get off wrestling with the young woman who hands the microphone from one reporter to the next? Update 11/08/18. CNN President Jeff Zucker doubled down on this type of action by reporters by saying “this organization believes fiercely in the protections granted to us by the First Amendment, and we will defend them, and you, vigorously, every time.”. Later the media came out against the ‘mic woman’ for assaulting Acosta!

This is exactly why no one respects the mainstream media. The media in this country and their cameramen) are given a lot of leeway to be rude and obnoxious, and they have taken advantage of it, until now it has gone too far. With actions like this, they are just another partisan mob!

Hurray Mr President for standing up to this bully!
