There is a tremendously low bar for public servants these days. As a matter of fact, you can say the same about the media. It is basically amateur hour from a competence and professional basis and self serving political hacks from a personal perspective.

There was nothing new in the interview or Comey’s book, just a rehash of previous anti-Trump dialogue.

from The Wall Street Journal,
4/14/18:

On Twitter, president writes, ‘I never asked Comey for Personal Loyalty. I hardly even knew this guy. Just another of his many lies.’

Mr. Comey, …. also called Mr. Trump “morally unfit” to be president. “A person who sees moral equivalence in Charlottesville, who talks about and treats women like they’re pieces of meat, who lies constantly about matters big and small and insists the American people believe it, that person’s not fit to be president of the United States, on moral grounds,” Mr. Comey said, according to a transcript of the entire interview released by ABC.

Mr Trump also tweeted;

The Wall Street Journal also noted, the “FBI had in its leadership an official even more self-serving than the director. His name is Andrew McCabe…

That pretty much sums it up, a lower bar and a ‘lower loyalty’.
