The California Exodus Begins

RUSH: You know, I’ve been wondering about this for the longest time and it’s one of the things that’s, frankly, had me worried about the future of the country.

Look at California. Look at what we have learned about California politics just in the last, say, five to 10 years, how left wing and it is and how left wing it is trending. By left wing, I mean in many ways it’s anti-American. Now that Governor Brown is leaving, there are many people worried out there that this state is gonna go so far left that it might not be recognizable, that Jerry Brown, Snerdley… Jerry Brown is being looked at it as a moderate by people worried about who is going to replace him.

Look at the stories we have out of California about unemployment, illegal immigration, sanctuary city things, homeless people piled on the streets of… In San Francisco, it got so bad they had to create a map to show people where piles of excrement were so that tourists and people walking around could avoid it! There is so much poop on the streets in San Francisco, a map was created to help people avoid it.

In Los Angeles, the homeless problem that just continues to skyrocket. The tax rates!

The tax rates are just exorbitantly high, and ….

So my question has always been, “Why do people stay there? Why aren’t there more people leaving that state?”

And, finally, there’s a story today. This is at the San Francisco CBS bureau. “San Francisco Bay Area Experiences Mass Exodus of Residents.” I have been wondering. Now, we know that there has been a migration of small businesspeople out of California to places like Idaho. But it hasn’t been anything momentous, although it’s been happening. But this story out of San Jose: “The number of people packing up and moving out of the Bay Area just hit its highest level in more than a decade. …
