Planned Parenthood Is Simply a Disguised Abortion Mill

CALLER: All right. Well, here’s my question, get right to it. So I was looking at the stats on Planned Parenthood’s website, and it says that only 3% of their services are abortions. So I was just super curious, why does the left spend so much time politicizing and protecting abortion rights when they are such a small part of their overall quote, quote, services?

RUSH: I think that is misleading. Only 3% of their services are abortions?

CALLER: That’s what it said.

RUSH: You know, what you need to look at the out there, Rebecca, is the percentage of their annual income derived from performing abortions, and you will find out that it’s over 80% of their operating income.

CALLER: How did you learn to, like, find that question?

RUSH: Well, they hide it. Go look at the Guttmacher Institute. That’s one of the research arms of Planned Parenthood. They don’t call it Planned Parenthood. G-u-t-t-m-a-c-h-e-r. It’s one of their propaganda firms, and it’s disguised as an independent think tank devoted to the issues of women’s equality and so forth. Actually, it’s an adjunct of Planned Parenthood.

I have not seen that 3% stat, but I will guarantee you that is as misleading as anything the left tries to mislead you about. That only 3% of the services? They do not do mammograms. By the way, if you believe that they provide mammograms — and they publicly say this — they do not. They do not do that. They advertise for abortion. They seek women to have abortions. If there’s an adoption clinic, say, right next door or very close to Planned Parenthood outlets, Planned Parenthood will have somebody out there trying to talk that young woman out of going into the adoption place.

And people requesting clarification of the statistics that Planned Parenthood puts out about abortion. By the way, the number of abortions they performed 2015-2016, recent numbers, up over the year before, as is revenue to the organization.
