Campus Censorship – 2016

“Ze told xem about hir plan to take over the campus Verself.”

These “pronouns” underlined above come from official “gender-neutral” language guides at college campuses across the country.

Instead of “he and she”, him and her”, leftist administrators push use of new pronouns, including “ze/zie/xe/xem/ver/vis/hir/xyrs”, to refer to “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and asexual” people. The list of “pronouns” and “sexual orientations” goes on.

Students who don’t use this new vocabulary are deemed “oppressive” and publicly shamed.

“Bias-free” language guides, “diversity” training, and more are a coordinated assault by the left against faith, family, and freedom … conservative principles.

Colleges have leaned left for a long time. But, it’s much, much worse now.

Today, you’ll find conservative students reprimanded, ostracized, and even punished by liberals for their so-called:

• “white, males, heterosexual, and rich privilege”

• “Triggering” and “oppressive” conservative language

• “Micro-aggressions” against “people of color” – because anything a conservative says is “inherently racist”.

Up is down and left is right … and students who don’t get with the program become targets.

The leftist outrages continue viciously …

Here are just a few of the examples currently featured on LI’s CampusReform.org website:

• The University of Wisconsin’s recently-approved budget includes $4M in taxpayer money for “cultural fluency” diversity training — mandatory for all students, faculty & staff.

• University of Florida’s administrators approved a new program to give illegal alien students in-state tuition rates, fee waivers for applications and scholarships.

• At Tarleton State University in Texas, students who tried to start a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter (a Leadership Institute student group) asked their history professor to serve as a faculty advisor. The professor’s department head forbade him from serving the group because “faculty can only sponsor those organizations that profess no right or left bias whatsoever” — even though the university sponsors a left-wing “Tarleton Progressives” group. A Bernie Sanders supporter, Professor Melodie Pickett told the group ominously, “I hope you know you have to take my class to graduate.“

The news media enables and promotes this campus censorship as seen when a CNN hosts says pro-speech conservatives are just afraid of multiculturalism. Being pro-free speech is now a bad thing?

Liberals know that an organized conservative student group on campus ends their monopoly … and shows college students an alternative view exists.
