As reported on RealClearPolitics, The Daily Caller's Greg Price produced this supercut of Democratic congressmen interrupting Attorney General Bill Barr to "reclaim their time" for questioning at last Tuesday's hearing.
This happened over and over again. The Attorney General was not allowed to answer questions posed by Democrat House members when they were asked. Most of the time, Democrat House members didn't even ask questions. They accused the Attorney General of every evil thing under the sun, 'without evidence' I might add.
The 'I'm reclaiming my time' tactic happened so frequently you could not escape the feeling that this was a political plan. But, why you might ask?
William Barr became an enemy of the Democrat Party and the media when he was announced as Donald Trump's AG, and then confirmed on February 14, 2019. Even though he was widely respected by members of both parties, he could not be given fair treatment because he was now part of Trump's administration. This became supercharged when in a hearing before the Senate Appropriations subcommittee in April, 2019, he made the statement that he felt there was 'spying' on the Trump campaign by the FBI and others. Democrat members of Congress were indignant that he would use this word. That he would suggest such a thing.
Later, he confirmed his belief that 'spying' may have occurred when he announced John Durham to investigate the run up to the Russia Special Counsel Investigation. As a result, his reputation as a fair minded legal professional had to be diminished, otherwise someone might believe him when he presented evidence of such spying in the future.
Since then, everything Barr does is attacked as un-Constitutional, or in blind support of, or directly following orders of President Trump.
But, you might observe, the Democrats did not discuss Durham's investigation. Right you are. By design. The less said about Durham, the less of an issue it will eventually become.
Now, the election is getting closer and the anticipation of something coming out of the Durham investigation is also getting closer. Therefore, this hearing was needed as a public display for Democrats to again attack the AG's integrity. To broadly embarrass and diminish Barr, that's what this was all about. Hoping that whatever stain they can stick to the Attorney General, will help them later. In order to not have him embarrass them with his usual well thought out answers, they 'reclaimed time' so he could not speak.
This was just another step in a plan that is preparing for John Durham's eventual indictments of people for spying on the Trump campaign. Something that could be the biggest scandal in the history of this country.
In order to defend against such potential accusations, Barr needs to be destroyed, so his investigation can be ignored my the media.
This hearing was an embarrassment, but not of Barr. You will see more. Its gonna get worse.
