The Vancouver-based feminist writer is scheduled to speak Oct. 29 at a Toronto Public Library panel discussion titled “Gender Identity: What Does It Mean for Society, the Law, and Women?” The event will go on, but only because the city librarian refuses to buckle to pressure.
